(P3) Pre-Production Materials

 Location Recce 1 -

Location Recce 2 -
We will be filming most of our Audio Visual Promotion at some of our houses. This means that a location recce is necessary, to make sure that both of these locations are suitable to film in, and possible to get equipment and film, without any hazards.
The recce is useful to ensure that the location meets all the needs possible to film the production we are looking to create. This means that it lists whether we have electricity access, the noise levels and sunlight access, so that we do not always need to rely on artificial light.
The recce also makes sure that the site has frequent availability. For example, a site to use for filming would rather be available in the day, and as often as possible. Luckily our houses are available at all times, so we will not need to worry about this.

Storyboard -

This is the first side of our storyboard. This is useful to us as it gives us a base structure and order of shots. This is where we can also add in information about the shot, such as type of camera shot and movement, and how long the scene is.
This means that we can make a rough plan of what we expect the final version of promo to look like. This generates time and space for things like planning location, equipment needed, cast needed, and the amount of time we need to shoot. We can also find from this how much footage we need to get, and make sure that we have enough raw footage to edit into the final length of the video.
The storyboard is also a good place to suggest improvement. For example, if we have labelled a shot and find a better idea, or a way that works easier or nicer, we can plan to change that shot.

Risk Assessment -

The risk assessment is used to make sure that we have a solution to all risks to equipment and health in an area we will use. This is an important asset for our pre-production as it makes sure that every location we use will be a safe and suitable environment to work in. The locations involved in our promotion were safe as they were our houses, so we have the space and safety of our own homes to record in. This makes the risk assessment easier as we do not have many hazards.

Gantt Chart -

The Gantt chart is used to carefully prepare our time, and plan how we will use days and weeks to get certain things completed. This means that we know how to plan for things, and when we need to perform and complete them. If we stick by the schedule we have created here, we will be able to complete the content we need and have contingency time if we have anything we need to catch up with.

Model Release Form -
Model release forms are used to gain the rights and consent to someone's footage in a video, if they are involved within said video. This one here is used for my consent, because as of right now I am the only person that will be in the video. This means that my permission and consent is needed so that I can be in the video willingly, and we can use footage of me in the final version of the video. This form makes sure that I have given us my permission to be used in the content.

Location Release Forms -

We have Two location release forms. The first one is for my house. This means that we have legal permission to film and use content filmed in these locations, this also gives us permission to any facilities in these areas that we must use.

This model release form is for Calla's house. In any case we must film in Calla's house, we have permission here to film and use content in her house as well. This means that we have two suitable location options to film in.

Shot List -

Our shot list is used to plan and prepare for the shots we will use. This means that we know exactly what shots we need, and how they are shot. This shows us what level and angle the shots are, as well as the size of the shots and what specifically they are of. This makes sure that when we go into production, we know which shots are to be shot in which order. This frees us of any stress on choosing shots in the moment, and makes sure that we are completely prepared. This type of pre-production links directly to storyboards.

Call Sheet -

The call sheet is used to make sure that we have everyone that we need for the production listed with activities and time. This lets everyone in the production know what time they must get there, what time they must leave, and things such as lunch times. This makes sure that there is no confusion between people, and everyone knows exactly what they are doing.
